Why Was She Sacked?

Carneiro’s woes came in 2015 when Chelsea played Swansea at Stamford Bridge in their first premier league game that season on 8th August 2015. Eden Hazard got injured, Eva and another physician Jon Fearn rushed in to monitor his situation.

However, Mourinho wasn’t pleased with that claiming they entered the pitch to attend Hazard without the permission of the then referee Michael Oliver. The Portuguese manager made some sentiments, he said, “filha da puta”, translated to “daughter of a b**** preceeded by remarks that the duo were “impulsive and naive” afterwards.

What did Carneiro do?

The England international sued Chelsea for dismisal under unclear circumstances claiming Mourinho abused her. Chelsea was ready to settle her up to £1.2m on the day of the employment tribunal. Nonetheless, Carneiro rejected the compensation claiming it was not worth her claims.
